I get that reaction a lot. And it brings me joy to confirm it every time! In California, a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, or RDHAP, is a licensed dental professional who works independently of a dentist to deliver preventive dental hygiene care directly to patients where they live. We travel to homes, assisted living facilities, and even offer services to children in schools. Wherever patients need us, we show up.

In my clinical experience, I’ve seen the struggle many times at the dental office from patients managing complicated health conditions to those who are too nervous to relax in the dental chair. These are tough barriers in dentistry and I decided I want to be a part of the solution.

After completing my RDHAP certification at the University of the Pacific, I’ve built my practice specifically for the people who have had to put off their dental care. Those barriers may be physical mobility, transportation, feeling uneasy going into a dental setting, or any other special circumstance preventing traditional dental office treatment. If that describes you or a loved one, let’s change that experience for you.

Being fully mobile, I can travel to you. I bring everything needed, set up in your space, and provide a gentle, thorough cleaning. No LA traffic, no waiting rooms, no unanswered questions. Just a relaxed appointment, all done in the comfort of your own home.

What matters most to me and my fellow RDHAPs is that we leave you with a real understanding of your personal oral health and a smile that feels as good as it looks. Consistent oral hygiene care is an important part of health everyone deserves, and we’re here to make sure nothing stands in the way of that.
